Falls occur primarily in the home, but there are many reasons why a person might be falling. Often, a person may have multiple factors that put them at risk for falling. Knowing these factors empowers the individual to manage their risk of falling.
The Fall Risk Assessment includes a battery of standardized fall risk screens, balance assessments and a home assessment. A plan is created with appropriate recommendations and referrals. These assessments can be performed at the home or in a physician’s office.
